Now European motorists can purchase an electric or hybrid car produced in China directly online and receive it already approved and registered, ready to drive. The service is launched by China EV Marketplace, the e-commerce platform specializing in zero and low-emission vehicles.
No bureaucracy, just delivery
The new sales model promises to eliminate the complex jungle of customs procedures: the company takes care of everything, from customs clearance to issuing the necessary documents. The car can be picked up at a European delivery center or delivered directly to your home, with a small surcharge.
Shock prices: from 9,400 to 30,000 euros
The real strength is the cost. Some examples from the portal: the BYD Dolphin Surf at about 9,400 euros, the Xiaomi SU7 under 29,000 euros, the Tesla Model 3 around 30,400 euros, and even a Volkswagen ID.4 at 25,600 euros. Even adding VAT and duties, the prices remain thousands of euros lower than European ones.
Boom of Chinese registrations in Europe
The phenomenon is not isolated: according to Jato Dynamics, in May 2025, registrations of Chinese brands in Europe grew by 111% in one year, capturing almost 6% of the market. With this new direct sales formula, the presence of Chinese manufacturers is set to increase further, fueling the challenge with Brussels on the issue of tariffs and competition.
